To listen to a song and sing along, no installation is required. To record your own version of songs you need to install the kSolo Player.
To install the kSolo Player:

• Choose one of the songs on the site, click on the record button and the player will open.
• Clicking on the "Record" button will initiate the kSolo Player installment process.
• You will see a screen asking if you want to download the kSolo Player. Click "YES" and the process will begin. This is a one - time installation!

Insert the microphone and speaker plugs into their respective jack, generally found on the back side of the computer marked according to their function.

• Insert the microphone plug into the microphone jack, generally marked with a microphone icon or the word "microphone" and usually colored pink.
• Insert the speakers or headphone plug into the speakers jack, generally marked with a headphones icon and colored green.
Make sure that your microphone is enabled (in OS Windows 2000):
• Go to Start > Setting > Control Panel
• Double-click the Sounds and Multimedia properties icon
• Select the Audio tab
• In Sound Recording click the Volume button
• In the window that pops up, make sure the Microphone is selected and the recording volume is all of the way up.

Sound Check lets you set the volume of your microphone against the volume of the music, so that you can be heard over the music track.
Opening the sound check:

• Once you try recording for the first time, the sound check will open automatically.
• To open the sound check box independently, at any time, click on the microphone icon on the left hand side of the player, above the Pause button.
• When the "sound check box" is open, sing into your microphone and drag the slider back and forth to balance your microphone volume. Your voice should be audible and at a level that is compatible with the music level.
• The microphone setting is a one time set-up, though you may adjust it whenever you wish.

At this point you are ready to select the song you wish to record. If you cannot hear yourself, go to the TROUBLESHOOTING section.

After you join kSolo, an confirmation message will be sent to your email. Check this message and click or copy and paste the link.

It's possible that the link you followed was corrupt, or cut in half. Please go back to your email, and paste the entire link (removing line breaks) into your browser.
