Interests
General
I have a wide variety of interests encompassing everything from movies, music, fine arts, to spontaneous road trips or a night on the town. I love anything involving the water and being outdoors, fitness, hiking, rock climbing, boating... but music is definitely my first love. ..
My favorite thing to do is see live bands, especially discovering great local bands that no one has ever heard of and I plan to start a music supervision/production company in the near future. (I also write, play and sing myself.)
I am a realtor and a personal trainer, having 'retired' from many years in the world of software engineering, pm and web development to pursue a career that would be not only financially rewarding, but spiritually as well. Having been on both sides of the spectrum, it is now my great honor and my privilege to be able to give back and help others achieve their dreams. I also still do ad-hoc consulting projects in Interactive Media Design, Marketing & Advertising, as well as a few other entrepreneurial endeavors of my own.
In addition, I dabble in photography, graphic design, and oil painting for fun in my spare time.Music
Times New Roman, Times, serif';color:inherit;"> There are way too many to list! As mentioned above..I am pretty much a music junkie. I have very eclectic tastes and tend to feel and express emotions through music. It is not unlike me to spend hours searching for "the perfect song" to convey where my head is at, at any given moment. That being said, I like just about everything that is done well and moves me in some way.

Blurbs
About me:
I'm originally from Chicago (burbs), now living and working here in Newport Beach.
I am pretty laid back and can find a way to have fun anywhere. I'm always up for new experiences; I'll try anything once (...maybe even twice!)
Being in good company is what makes any situation the most enjoyable.
I believe balance is the key to a fulfilling life. I work hard and I play even harder.
I am both dynamically extroverted as well as shyly introverted. I can get very “deep” and serious at times- often introspective, searching for the bigger picture and “lesson to be learned” from every experience. I can also be a huge goofball!! I have a great sense of humor, albeit silly at times ;).. and I love to laugh!!
I don’t take “no” for an answer -- instead I change the question.
I assume the risk of speaking the truth and wearing my heart on my sleeve.
I’m not afraid of making mistakes--In fact, I've become quite the pro at it! ;)
I don't know how to give up -- I “have found 9999 ways not to make a light bulb” and will try 9999 more.
I am highly curious by nature -- my brain is a sponge. I'm pretty intellectual even though I might have trouble spelling it...heheh. I consider myself a permanent student in the school of life and am ever changing and evolving.
I am both a work in progress as well as a divine materpiece. I continually strive to push the envelope, to overcome any fear, to surpass my limits, to learn and to grow and be the best ME I can be.
Who I'd like to meet:
I enjoy meeting genuine people who have integrity, are fun and share the same interests that I do. I'm an extremely open, honest and REAL person and I like to associate with those people who are like minded. (My BS tolerance is zero...so please don't give me any. =) )I choose to surround myself with individuals of substance, who are positive, authentic and live life with a sense of purpose.
Those who inspire and teach me will keep my attention.
I'm not interested in how much money you make or what kind of car you drive. What I AM interested in is who you are when all of those things are stripped away and all that's left is the real you... when no one is around and you look into the mirror, I want to know the person it reflects back. Nothing more..and nothing less. =)

"Your Own Way"
..
by Wes Fessler
When every will and thrill has gone,
you have to change or just move on.
You cannot live without your heart.
For what is life, to play a part?
When you don't have a joke to tell,
and all you do is scream and yell,
you need to step aside and see
your life the way it ought to be.
Are things worth getting stressed about;
worth causing you to wail and pout?
Weigh every loss against each gain.
Don't let each day be full of pain.
You have to do what you enjoy,
for in repression there's no joy.
So seek your dreams where they may go,
and when you catch them, you will know.
The will and thrill will come again.
You'll find your happiness and then
your heart will be in all you do.
You may just tell a joke or two.
Do what it takes, don't waste away.
Give life your best in your own way.

Finding Your "One Thing"
In the movie City Slickers, a group of friends take a “vacation” at a dude ranch. Curley, played by Jack Palance, is a crusty yet wise old cowboy who shares the following with Mitch, played by Billy Crystal:
Curley: Do you know what the secret of life is?
Mitch: No, what?
Curley: This. (Holds up his index finger.)
Mitch: Your finger?
Curley: One thing. Just one thing. You stick to that and everything else don’t mean [anything].
Mitch: That’s great, but what’s the one thing?
Curley: That’s what you’ve got to figure out!
Great scene … great advice. Leaders have to figure out the One Thing that defines a meaningful purpose for their teams. The One Thing should answer the question Why are we here? You may think that finding that focus isn’t critical; but in fact, it’s essential to your success. The most important thing in business (and life) is deciding what is most important.
Your team’s One Thing might be: producing defect-free materials; providing the fastest service available; developing leading-edge products; creating relationships that customers cannot walk away from; or meeting the technology needs of other departments. These are just examples – your One Thing has to be your One Thing. And it should guide all of your decisions and actions.
Even after you find your One Thing, sticking to it can be a challenge while you put out fires and explore new opportunities. Don’t be tempted to think, as some do, that you can keep piling on initiatives and still maintain your team’s focus. You may find yourself in the middle of the “Ship is Adrift” Syndrome. Instead, consider automating, streamlining or outsourcing areas that are not core to your team’s operation.
A laser-sharp focus does not happen overnight. It takes time and effort to refine, reinforce, and communi-cate your One Thing. But you need to start now. Blurred focus creates confusion – resulting in diffused employee efforts. Stay focused! Remember Curley!
Respect!!
I am going to get the respect that I want from people or I need to change the people that I am working with!
Donald Trump Letter
Let’s face it, folks: I live very large. My buildings and books are bestsellers. I command a handsome fee for my speaking engagements. I have lots of beautiful things. Success compels a lot of people to slow down, but I never have.
I work harder today that I did 20 years ago. Just as momentum is a prerequisite to success, it is equally vital to its continuation – not just in business, but in life. If you are not out there challenging yourself every single day, you are shortchanging your potential. That goes for age six as well as age sixty.
Due to momentum, the Trump brand has evolved a great deal over the past couple of years. The Apprentice and the Donald J. Trump Signature Collection, to name a few, have been amazing successes.
Now, my bottom line doesn’t demand the multi-millions that accompany these ventures, or, by way of example, the multi-millions that will come with the tremendous new casino project I’m developing in Philadelphia, but I love the work. That is the key to momentum.
In this issue, you will see where forward motion is leading the Trump brand. GoTrump.com will be a new force in travel, and in Atlantic City, renovations on the area’s best properties are currently underway. I think both projects are prime examples of the extent to which I am maintaining my momentum.
Great rewards are here too, from my friend Jay Leno’s opportunity to drive an incredibly exotic car to some of the most impressive homes on the market today, amazing restaurants, watches, and executive tools of the trade.
From my office or penthouse in Trump Tower, I can look out onto Manhattan and see all my accomplishments. Rather than an invitation to rest, the view is a constant call to action. I hope you find similar momentum.
